Self-knowledge is a life-long study that is essential for advancing in the spiritual life. Mother Mary Bosco explains how we should acquire this knowledge, and warns us of the difficulties we will encounter in doing so. In order to assist us in discovering our predominant fault, she give information on each of the seven capital sins and their manifestations. She also reminds us of the importance of prayer, of receiving the Sacraments, and of seeking spiritual direction to overcome our weaknesses.
