“Ye men of Galilee, why stand you looking up to heaven?” (Acts 1:11)

Our Lord gloriously ascended into Heaven in the sight of His Apostles to teach them that they must keep their eyes on Heaven.  Mother Mary Bosco encourages us also to aim for Heaven amidst our daily duties.  She emphasizes that when we look to Heaven our tasks and trials are made easier, and we are even able to approach them with joy. In addition, she points out to us, as did the angels to the Apostles, that, important as it is to contemplate Heaven, we also must labor to bring Christ to others through the practice of virtue.
